Skip-A-Payment and keep a little extra this summer!
Go ahead and skip a payment. You'll have one less bill to pay this summer. Times are tight right now, and so is your wallet. Hang on to a little extra summer cash with Skip-A-Payment.
To skip your August 2010 payment on a qualified loan, simply complete our request form and return it to us today.*
Hurry! To take advantage of this offer, please send in your request no later than July 15, 2010.
*Mortgage loans, Looks-Like-a-Lease loans, first payments of a new loan, extension agreements made within the last 12 months, and credit cards are not eligible for Skip a Payment.
A $30 processing fee for each consumer loan payment you choose to skip will be deducted from your savings, checking, or money market account. Interest will continue to accrue during the month you choose to skip and may result in higher total
finance charges on your loan(s). Skipping payments will extend the term of your loan. Member accounts must be in good standing. Members with a current bankruptcy, members who have been 30+ days delinquent on their XFCU loan payment within the last 12 months, and members who have been 90+ days delinquent on any XFCU loan are not eligible for Skip-A-Payment. This deferral is subject to credit union approval.

Xceed members: Connect for the Cause!
Part of our vital role as a financial services provider is to keep you well informed of any and all legislative activity that might potentially affect your credit union. To this end, please allow me a few moments to share some important information with you about recent activities in Washington D.C.—and what you can do in response to these efforts.
Very recently, the US Senate approved the Financial Regulatory Reform Bill, including a provision that would mandate price controls on the interchange fees paid by merchants for accepting debit cards.
This bill has unintended consequences for credit union members and every consumer with a debit card in his or her wallet.
Simply put, each and every time you swipe your debit card, Xceed Financial is paid a fee (what we call an interchange fee) from the merchant. While these individual fees are small, the combined income from all debit card transactions provides valuable income that we in turn pass along to our members in the form of competitive rates and innovative products and services.
With legislative controls set on these interchange fees, Xceed and other credit unions will have limited revenue available to meet your evolving financial needs. Likewise, you, as a consumer, will not benefit from the provision as merchants will not be required to pass the consequent savings on to the consumers. In fact, merchants successfully fought against an amendment that would have required those savings be passed on to consumers.
As a credit union member, you can easily make your voice heard on this issue. Please join me in sending a message today to your Senators urging them to oppose the interchange provision.
In fact, sending a letter is very easy! Simply visit the Connect for the Cause web site at www.connectforthecause.org and find the "Oppose Interchange in S. 3217 (Oppose)" article in center of the page. Click the "Take Action" link to create your profile (or “log in” if you’ve already created your profile during a previous visit to the website) and send a form letter email to your two Senators regarding this important matter.
Thank you in advance for your support!

Xceed Online Bill Payer offers Expedited Payments.
We've all been there before. You need to make a payment immediately or it will be late and you'll suffer embarrassing and costly late fees. Fear not! Xceed Online's Bill Payer offers the convenience of Expedited Payments. Make last-minute payments to anyone or anywhere in the continental United States through Bill Payer, either electronically or via overnight check, for a nominal convenience fee.
Click the Expedited Payment option under the left menu's Bills & Payments section. You'll be taken to a screen to choose from your list of existing payees, enter the amount of the payment, the method of choice (electronic vs. overnight check), and from which account the funds are drawn. Just as simple as that.
To get you started, we'll answer a few of the more common questions below.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is the convenience fee? From which account is the fee deducted?
A nominal convenience fee will be added to the payment amount:
$4.95 for electronic payments
$15.95 for overnight checks
The convenience fee is debited as a separate transaction from the account you are using to make the payment, and will show up on your statement as "Convenience Fee."
Are there limitations to where payments can be sent?
Yes. Expedited payments cannot be sent to an address in Hawaii, Alaska, or to a PO Box. Other limitations are based on biller capabilities.
How do you obtain the overnight check address for a payee?
Expedited Payments has the capacity to know what time of day you are making a request, as well as the payment delivery cut-off times of your payees. As a result, if your request is after a payee's cut-off time for the day, the payment choice may be limited to the overnight check option, rather than electronic payment.
A payee may designate a separate address for overnight check payments. You should either check your bill, search the payee's website or contact the payee directly to find out the correct address.
Can overnight checks be tracked?
Certainly. The tracking number link appears on the Payment Details page.
Can payments be changed or canceled once submitted?
No. Payment processing begins immediately after clicking the submit button.
